The Programme Guidelines
Please note that these guidelines are based on the International Award Association's framework and that whether you are at school, a residential youth facility, a community youth group, a company, a correctional facility or where-ever you may be doing the Award Programme in South Africa, the requirements are exactly the same.
The Levels
There are three levels of the Award:
Bronze
Silver
Gold
At each level, participants should set themselves personal challenges in each activity.
The Sections
The Programme has four Sections designed to provide a balanced programme of personal development.

Service |
To learn how to give useful service to others |

Skills |
To encourage the development of personal interests, creativity or practical skills |

Physical Recreation |
To encourage participation in physical recreation and improvement in performance |
|
Adventurous Journey |
To encourage a spirit of adventure and discovery whilst undertaking a journey in a group |
Additional Requirement at the Gold Level |
|
|
Residential Project |
To broaden experience through involvement with others in a residential setting |
